The Mission
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.” (Isaiah 54:2) We are living in exciting times! We’re believing that God will continue to expand our influence as we step out in obedience to God’s glorious plan for His church. On Sunday, 9th October, we are prayerfully coming together to sow into this year’s Expansion Offering. This offering is for anyone who calls Renew Church home and those who desire to contribute financially to building the church locally and globally.
This once-a-year sacrificial offering goes above and beyond regular tithes to Renew Church to further our community reach and impact the world for years to come.
We are convinced that God has a mandate upon our church to inspire our community and beyond to live for Jesus! We pray that you consider stepping out in faith with us to see God’s plan and purpose continue to expand and unfold. No matter your capacity to give, great or small, we believe that together we can make a difference. What an honour it is that God could use us to see the world transformed one life at a time for Jesus!
Whangarei Campus Improvements
We are upgrading our church and school site to ensure more safety for our students at school drop-off and pick-up, as well as providing more much-needed green spaces. This will involve the creation of a new entranceway and converting the metal driveway behind the auditorium into a play area. This will double as a gated connect space for families after Sunday services. How awesome that we can serve the wider Whangarei community by providing Bible-based education!
Renew Church Fiji
Our church was instrumental in the planting and establishing Christian Renewal Fellowship of Fiji in 1996. They have always considered us as a ‘big sister’ to them, and in 2020 the CRF Fiji family of churches intimated their desire to become an official part of the Renew Church family, adopt our ethos and consider us their apostolic oversight.
This happened in February 2022, and there are now six healthy Fiji Renew Churches! A small team will be travelling to Fiji in October, where we will be sharing in celebrations of the new name and season for the Fijian churches! We are so blessed to be able to serve them and the beautiful Nation of Fiji by providing spiritual counsel, training, teams and financial assistance. The NZ dollar goes a long way in Fiji – a small church building costs approx 20k NZD in materials! We are planning annual mission trips to Fiji, so stay tuned!
Your Offering
Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness. (2 Corinthians 9:10)
We invite our church family and friends to invest in what God is doing in our house. Where we put our treasure (finances) – our heart (passion) will always follow. Jesus said He would build His Church, and the gates of hell would not be able to stand against it.
Q and A
• How much of my offering will go to the expansion?
100% of all gifts given during expansion offering will go to the needs listed above.
• How does the expansion offering differ from my regular giving?
We understand that tithing is already a sacrifice. The Expansion Offering is going above and beyond our regular giving. This offering is taken only once a year and will focus on what is currently and specifically needed for Renew Church to expand locally and internationally.
• Will I be able to claim a tax refund on my offering?
Yes, this offering will show up on your annual giving receipt. You can claim 33.33 cents for every dollar you donated to charities or similar organisations (you can only claim on donations that added up to the same amount or less than your taxable income during the tax year).
• Will my offering remain anonymous?
Absolutely. Pastoral staff do not know what amounts people give to the ministry, and the Finance Admin team has signed a Privacy Agreement.
• When will the construction start on the new entrance, carpark and green spaces?
The goal is to begin construction as funds allow.

A pledge indicates how much you have decided to give towards the Expansion Offering. You can choose whether to give monthly, fortnightly or weekly. We will report back on progress throughout the year.
